Wow that is awsome stuff. I love how you squeezed every last drop of detail out of the requirements. Believe it or not that is begining to become a rare tallent. "Its next gen who cares!?" Awsome stuff!!!
If you are dead set on going, take your gen-ed courses (math, science, literature, etc...) at a community college, it will shave about a year off a four year degree and save you tons of cash.
No, First person... Mercs was just a huge, bland open third person game, not the same at all and quite dull this gen tbh... Back to FFXIII how epic was that bit in Palpulom (Sp?) where Totally rocked :D
red ringed a few months ago, and it was LOOOONG past warrenty. It was a first gen, and lasted me this long. But since the warrenty was done, I tried to fix it myself, opened it up, reapplied coolant to it... Didnt work. it was shoooot.
Come to think about it, if the current gen consoles were more powerful to start with, it could be much harder to get those games running in 4k and vr right now. Wonder if they haven't planned it like that from the start :)
Question. Are there any new skills or workflows an employer might be looking for as this gen starts up? I ask as an environment guy. Thinking specifically about PBR stuff and procedural texturing.. stuff like that. LordSeb beat me to it!
Next gen weapons will be around 25-30k, atleast that is what they use in the first batch of FPS coming up now. Looks nice to me Now you use a lighter material, but also a lighter background lol ; )

actually we are planning on changing the style to be a bit more next gen ready, more dof to guide the players view, more bloom to make it all shiny and also more lensflares to make it more bling bling.
i have a specific crit: UVWs on the "basil" character have a lot of wasted space. Too many polies for skin gen. The body texture just looks like nonsense and noise. Not sure what i'm looking at.
