hey, glad my thread is being used in the way I intended it to be used. The gun looks great and the material is really good except for one thing; Like the others said, it needs to be darker, especially the handle!
you should think about how uncomfortable it would be to hold that gun if the clip is right behind the handle...it would constantly get in the way...and if a human was holding it- it would clip through the arm geo ( no pun intended)
Looks pretty good so far, you also might want to add some wear and tear or is it intended to look new? Like maxilator said, breaking the scene up sounds like a good idea.
I decided to add a bit more polycount to the areas looking blocky. I've also finished up texturing this. Any C&C would be great as I intend to use this asset in my next project.
here's an update as we near the deadline xD over the next few days I intend to finish all my particle effects :) and include some more simple props like rocks plants and bushes
For a planar object, you could resize the document to the intended size of the texture, frame the model, and give it the matcap material that displays the normals. Then export the document. As for the banding, what settings are you using when creating the map?
Wow. Way sick. PLEASE keep it coming. The attention to detail is amazing and I can see great potential of this piece with some good texture work if you intend to bring it that far. Wow. Awesome job.
Love the eyes, the face improved a lot, the only gripe I have is that her feet/hooves are a tad small in contrast with the Spiderlegthings from her back, unless that was intended, then ignore my babbles ;) . Other then that spot on!
This is really cool, I've loved all of your past work and find modular asset design fascinating. At this point do you have any idea how you'll handle the materials if this is intended as a system for games?
