Beautiful work Steffen, so clean and solid ! The back view is so sexy :) And I love how the beveled edge on the horns catches the glow of the furnace so nicely - it reminds me of the dramatic orange rim lighting often seen in fantasy cover art paintings. This would be worthy of a desktop action figure !
It's not just limited to TV, but I'm obsessed with football. I watch it on the tube all the time, go to games in person, read articles about it online....just the other day when I was doing the dirty dirty with my woman, I was thinking about my fantasy football team...wtF is wrong with me!
I really dont have the attention span it takes to play long games anymore. If its over 8-10 hours, i'll probably never finish it. I put in a healthy amount of hours in the old final fantasy games, and about 200+ on Legend of Mana.. but I just cant do that anymore.
Come to think of it.... Microsoft closed down their sports dev and their fantasy dev teams after the origional xbox had been established. The excuse they used was that they started these projects and teams to give the new console a boost, but now that it was established they were no longer needed. Perhaps MS sees Bungie…
10k Poly, 2x 2048 texture map environment for Splash Damage's test: Here's a 22k poly clock I made for TurboSquid to practice working quickly. Took 6 hours: Here are some low poly fantasy props. Each are between 98 and 100 polys, with one 512x512 texture map.
To be honest, I always hoped for a live action or a stylized 3D (ala Final Fantasy: Advent Children) film. As long as the film itself doesn't take itself too seriously and they translate the design of the characters well, I honestly think it could be a bad ass film. I'm not expecting much though. -caseyjones
Pretty cool stuff. I can easily imagine those sun-ray shots you posted as press-shots for a new fantasy game. The new grass looks a bit too spiky in my opinion. Maybe with more foliage they won't read as planes, but by itself you can see they're neatly perpendicular.
I love these so much, really nice work. As for criticism, What are these lines you've marked all over the screen in the gif? Are these just for points of reference, or is it something similar to a guideline for your composition? While I like the fantasy one, it does sorta feel a bit.. much? There's a lot to take in, but…
actually it depends on my work.. often i listen to film musik (hans zimmer and co) all day.. for medieval stuff i also heard alot of fantasy music.. I like house very much but sometimes feel it pushes me too hard, when i need to be patiend about something.
