I have nothing to add to this, you've put my exact thoughts in to words. I don't have any time for any SNES level difficulty, and I was never that good at the time anyway. If youre gonna make this for a game or rig it you should model her with the arms at a 45 degree angle to avoid issues :) Doing hair you can sculpt it using clay brushes and dam standard, but theres a lot of ways to do it!
