okay it seems CTRL+SHIFT edge subobject selection doesn't yield desired result for planes which is majority of the cases I intend to use. Is there any other workarounds or do I have to live with it? Not a big deal but still.
What's depressing is I keep getting slapped on this forum for my opinions. I Don't intend ill will to anyone here by the way. If I am wording my statments harshly, I am sorry. I'll try to work on that.
Yea looks like UVs issue, island's is quite small, most of the circle shaped uv parts could be straighten to give better results. Increase sampling and texture size depending on what you're intending to make this model for.
Did up the floors today, might make some changes still. The larger outer brick is pretty big and a little more rough around the edges than I intended so I might make it cleaner tomorrow.
I'd wager he intends to model it and mirror it. (the caps are slightly different sizes but maybe he feels there isnt much point making them different, idk) looks a bit sick, good way to tackle making a facade.
The only reason I haven't posted cats in this thread yet is because Daz intended it to be a serious discussion about civility. An interesting thing to note about the direction of the discussion, that the original poster hasn't replied in quite a while. Ha.
My eyes are blind! Not used to so much damn colour in a game, where are all the greys, and the browns?! Looks great, but I dont have a PS3 and don't intend on buying one so I'll probably miss out.
Something that I've found works is to just come up with a Project that you'd like to do and start modeling things for it. You don't ever have to intend on finishing it, or releasing it...but it'll give you a good framework of things to work on.
I've always had to provide my ID and Soc card for jobs, but I'm not in 'the industry'. It's usually for tax purposes. I'm not sure how that would change for freelance work though. They probably intend to treat you as a temporary employee.
That's a good point - I feel like by the end I started learning towards more detail and realism than I intended with the concept, too. Maybe I'll come back to that after the holidays... Thanks for the feedback! :)
