if you didnt catch it on tv there is a high def version on ifilm, click the 720p link at the tip right of the window. you can go frame by frame on some of the cooler shots http://www.ifilm.com/presents/spiderman3
So going from and idle pose -> swing the axe (attack?) -> back to idle? And all this in 20 frames? At what frames per second? Seems awfully fast to me. Even at 24fps that's less than a second.
Hey all, It's been a while! Hopefully can get back into these challenges again :) Here's my Industrial Windows WIP, need to work in some more dirt between the frame & glass, and then finish the metal frame. All C&C welcome!
if you open the crysis sandbox editor it will show triangles per frame in the scene. However those numbers are very high due to certain multi-pass techniques. that way they typcially have around 1-1.5 mio triangles per frame
I blame the people who use sites like wowgold4u.com more than I blame the Chinese gold farmers. It's the jerkwads that use those sites that generate the demand and are the ones actually ruining the game for those who want to play fair.
Lens flare is caused by reflections between the bits of glass in a lens. Eyes don't have multiple lenses so you can't get lens flare with raw vision. You are thinking of starring which is not the same thing.
very nice exercises. You can try Syncsketch; you upload a short video and get an URL that you can share, people with the URL can sketch over and comment on your animation on a frame x frame basis. very useful for critiques
A lot of games with DOF like this do this. The frame isn't blurring anything else behind that mesh so the post work stops and ends up creating the hard edge. If something else were behind it AND being blurred in the same frame, then it'd be blurred.
You can still use it, it just kills the frame rate when it takes up a majority of the screen. They use the opacity only for a few things, like to fake a reflection. a team mate tested it, and when theres alot of it, the frame rate drops to red.
The console is not required, but the game might be. Sim City anyone? Sure, your PC isn't required to have the internet. But if you want to play Sim City........ Sony is looking like they are setting it up to say, "Don't blame us, blame EA, etc."
