In map, create a material of the type "Multi/Sub Object". This allows you to assign multiple maps to one object. Stick the walls in slot 1, the doors in slot 2 etc. Then in the model set all the wall faces to material id 1, and the doort, windows etc to mat id 2....
excuse me, guys. i will start it asap with rough sculpture and make some sketches to define his gloves, boots, etc. Brad, not sure yet) nrek, ya dood, from scratch) Haiasi, ya, did that outfit, guys from Bethesda pushed it more tho(folds etc)
I agree with oobersli, don't be afraid to split up the vehicle into multiple materials, especially if you've got things like wood, metal, etc on separate parts of the vehicle, will make it easier to set up the shaders in UT if you can specify how shiny / etc parts are with individual shaders.
Yeah for sure! How awesome wouldn't that be! Like everybody connected to the same universe (or server) but they can't "spot" each other until they get more information by hacking each other. Each player might have their objective to further the story etc etc. I don't know, but I'm blown away.
i mean there were major updates to shaders viewport 2.0 etc for 3.5 Yes NEX is integrated. But there are other things that have been fixed, rewritten etc. It took about 6 months to integrate NEX based on the betas. Its not fully integrated well as it stands but its well on its way.
You really should show off some kind of textures or models etc etc, the scenes are alright but you need some kind of break down :) Nice work with the waterfall one, I really like it, too bad you didn't stick more closely to the concept, still nice though :)
Hey Quack, Ive been reading more into techniques such as the one that Toxic posted, and it got me thinking about what you said. Do you literally mean I shouldnt be baking anything? What about window frame meshes and doorframes for example?? Or walkway railings etc etc?? Cheers!
Yeah, I am wondering the same thing. I am curious how you decided to combine different elements? Like if you had different real-world reference you like for certain shapes, etc. that you decided to combine based on a concept of the different elements, etc. Awesome work!
Well the courses rely heavily on your own dedication. It's up to you how good you get, they provide the tools, network and knowledge. You get to use their new cool rigs and models, so that you can focus purely on Animation without worrying about 3d-modeling etc etc.
Here's an update: the AI works now, they shoot back etc, only have to do the enemy-waves logic and some GUI. Then hopefuly time for some polish and some extra art etc: [ame=" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oydl2V-aiX8"]RMArena B&W 720 - YouTube[/ame]
