[UDK] mossy forest
Spent about 2 days on this so far, its my goal to finish it by Friday. Its a screen grab straight for UDK, no tweaks in photoshop. I've never really lit any outdoor scenes from scratch. What Gonzo said. don't worry about components. They're outdated in 6 - 10 months anyway and obsolete in 3 - 4 years. Save cash and put it in SDD, monitor, and a good intuos + kbd + mouse combo. This kind of thread is pointless in many ways. First... the screen shots between Modo and Max above don't really have any 1:1 relevance. Even single player is riddled with a few problems, like the "events" that force you to being stuck in 1 view until ALL the enemies have been killed, but the problem is sometimes not all the enemies walk into your screen so you have to run around the edges of the screen spamming some kind of beam and hope it kills whatever… -
Re: MODO - snapping item center to selected vertex
Shouldn't be any difficulties, you just need snapping enabled (with vertex mode on). Sometimes this can be problematic because modo likes to swap from vertex mode back to geometry when you change your tool or drop your selection. (that's with 701 era snapping anyway).
