Out of curiosity, does anyone know why, upon export, PSD copies are saved out to my target directory? I'm already managing the PSDs with the project and only want the maps to export to the specified directory. They aren't that hard to go in and delete; merely a minor annoyance that I'd be curious to rectify.

Hi We are trying to merge 2 univers completely different together, old medieval throne with Gigers univers. Above all, we are FX artist so this contest can be good occasion to make more environmental FX for organic feeling. We only want to use Substance for Texturing.

I love this question :) It pops up from time to time here. Texporter was merged into max back in like version 7 or something. In the UV editor window, go to tools>render UVW template.
for me the hero feature is that it doesn merge geo taht is close together... like lips or eyelids... its no problem to model a fist and open the hand later on... its ideal for concept sculpting... or modifying scandata...
I use this script called Vertex Cleaner by Shiva3D. Usually after shape merging on a mesh, it leaves behind lot of unconnected/parasite verts.This works best to clean those stuff. Check it out.
I spoke to Uly at work today and his suggest was to render the AO in Mental ray, the lighting/diffuse in Scanline, and merge the 2 in photoshop. I'm keen on that idea if there is no other single-pass solution here.
so originally you had X different objects, on which you used the "attach" command to merge them to one single object, correct? and are you sure your edges are open (ie weldable)?
the sculpt is almost done. some work on the lower solder piece is needed. merging it with the diode part, then i'll do some clean-up . I think I should make the wires more wavy.
