Thanks for the advice guys! I can! I've reduced the poly count down to 2701 triangles and modeled a few of the stitches. They were actually little studs that stick out the cushion. I don't know what purpose they serve on the actual vehicle though, either way they're gone from the texture sheet now. Latest WiP pics -

I don't really see the benefit of reducing a 500 triangle car to 270 tris. I feel like you are letting yourself get caught up in extremely tight technical details and making things difficult for yourself for no reason. Making a cool 500 triangle car? Cool! Feeling like you have to half tri count to theoretically match… -

Ahhhh that will be it. Thanks Abdullah :) I will have to see why it is adding so many verts on the import. I just checked the mesh version didn't break and that was 27807 verts as opposed to 102782! -

ok i lowered the amount for the low poly. most of it was in the barrel which is now basically a cylinder. most of the count is in the bullets and shells just because they are duplicated so much. the MG count is actually 2786 and the ammo box is 982. -

Riggin for games often based around a human IK rig or an other "simple" rig.
