Our team has been working on a next-gen space RTS called Starfall Tactics, which is currently on Kickstarter. Here's a video of a space ship being brought to life from concept: [ame] http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ow41sczjo7E[/ame] Enjoy, and comments are most welcome!
When was the last time you or anyone you know bent a mb socket pin? As it is the newer gens dont use straight up pins in the traditional sense. :: Fwiw I have upgraded laptops cpus.
Hopefully having it right before "next gen system e3" wont cut out a lot of people who will be crunching on making e3 deadlines from the contest. I want to see a ton of people compete!
It's most surely a PC footage, so who knows how the game truly runs on PS4 and Xbox One. It doesn't look all that impressive to me, I dunno, looks like a cross gen game.
Still not sure about the proportions, but others have said enough about that. Anyway, I hope 3k polys will NOT be next gen. For texturing, you could start on the highpoly and use its occlusion as a base for the low.
Fantastic work man! Congrats on finishing it, wish we had a game to go along with it lol, looks like it'd be really fun environment to play in. Grats once again bro, dat next-gen
You are not 'wrong' or 'past gen'. It does sound like Mari might fit your needs better. It is channel centric, so it is very easy to share data between channels and build relationships between the channels.
Thanks Predator for your response. I was not sure if bump mapping is used at all in next gen game creation, but makes sense if the normal maps can give you what bump does plus more.
You should get a job designing the characters and levels for a new Silent Hill game =o, more next-gen and more horror then Homecoming was :P, in other words im saying Holy shit this is godly.
