I must soon start applying for some 3D or Web Dev Jobs. My current Job has nothing to do with computers and sucks real bad. My Job is so generous they give you a $50 Bonus at Christmas, if your lucky they won't tax it :(
course it's not really far to compare to movies, since even the most expensive film isn't 50 bucks a pop... but still that's a very significant figure. hopefully it contributes to games being more of a cultural force, not just making greedy investors wanting to get in on the gravy train.
The videos show the best works I think, esp the Crater shooter game. Looks like fun! The img of dog, rifle, elf, are nice but I'd be nice to see wires, UV and texture at like 25% or 50%, just to see how you pulled it off.
I just downloaded musagi after reading a bit about it in a recent tigsource post. Haven't really made my way around the interface properly, but it seems pretty full-featured for what it is, and it's completely free (Reaper is $50 for non-commercial, $225 for commercial, and not free).

I'm a little over 50% now, and holy crap! I can't believe how much detail they are pushing around in all these areas, and the sizes of some are ridiculous. Breezy Valley and the train hopping level were amazing. I can't wait to finish off this one.
In the course of a couple of weeks I'll be modeling and rigging my custom vehicle design. The idea was an all terrain hummer type of vehicle combined with a 50s-60s luxury car. A big influence also was OccultArt's Landwhale I wanted it to look rough and tough while maintaining the luxury feel. Design:
