The cage wraps everything up nicely. No red spots. When I baked the normal map it turned out fine. By the way. This happens with Mental Ray as well. P.S. I circled those two areas because they are the ones you see in the flat shot. This actually happens wherever the HP pops through the LP.
Still chipping away at this project. Just been messing around with the back section. I was going to leave it dark with not too much in it but I much prefer what I have now. Still needs work though. Hoping to have this wrapped up soon but my to do list keeps getting bigger lol
Havent updated the rainbow in a while. This is where I'm at right now. There are still quite a few things i want to work on, but the competition is almost over, So i'll have to wrap it up soon i guess. I"ve learned so much from this project. I cant wait to start the next one.
I'd get the folds in the tape to be a bit sharper, especially as they fall away from the underlying shape. Also, the pre-zbrush shot doesn't have the tape wrapping around. It looks like you changed that for the sculpt but I just want to make sure you intend to have it go all the way around the grip.
Im certainly not a professional here, so take this lightly . I think the handle blends in with the blade to much, adding a normal map to make the handle have a wrapped material should defiantly help break it up a bit more. I look do like the colour scheme you went with though, good luck!
I love all the reds, I agree with ghostdetector though, a bit too much. Just need to add more blue in the lower half (maybe more like your original concept). At the moment, there is no contrast between the leg wrap and his skirt (since they're similar shades of red) can't see the silhouette :(
Oh, I realised that some sniper rifles have cloth wrapped around them, to give the marksman better grip, I think. Dunno why, during render my cloth texture changed its colors and became much darker than it should be. And I think I will make it a bit longer :D
I didn't witness your outburst, but I definitely feel frustration and anxiety when I put my work out there for people to critique. Sometimes you get so wrapped up in things that you interpret criticism as a personal attack. Anyway, keep posting here, dude. I like your work.
you guys fell for the manufactured paranoia of Fox news. I'm really lucky that I had the chance to have a real science experiment as a kid and do actual science experiments in the class room. I never realized we'd turn into a bubble-wrap world were we have to warn people that coffee is hot
pushed the lightings, shadows and overall mood a bit darker, nearing completion. I did my best to accomodate all the great crits (which thanks for taking the time to comment!) i've definitely learned a lot. Just about wrapping this up. Any final comments before I take final screenshots are appreciated.
