Very nice job on those wraps on the lower pipe! I am gonna be looking at those when I start doing mine ;) I am making progress on the high poly. I plan to finish it up and make my low tomorrow. So far I am having a lot of fun with this one!
Thanks for the headsup Howling! I was about to wrap up the hair, but seeing this new haircut makes me want to remake it again from scratch :) glad they updated him, I wonder if rito is planning on releasing a VU of his model anytime soon? Would be funny. Glad they kept the rest of his design intact
There was quite a large hire influx, however those studios are now quite well established. I think you might be wrapping one set of information with another -- Our mobile marketplace is booming there are quite a few prosperous Indy studios too but for hiring rate it's still as cut-throat as the rest of the world. LOTS of…
Love the design on the crystal sword! And the redesign on the wide sword looks better! But the curved part of the hilt looks out of place. Looks flimsy and not as interesting as the rest of the sword. Possibly adding some secondary details like, wrappings, dangly bits, or some kind of form breaking detail. Your painting…
@M4dCow: I never even though to bake them straight on. I was worried that I would miss the edge detail on the bricks that wrap around. I suppose it's not super important to have a those tiny details. I'll be back with some tests. If anyone has any other suggestions I'm all ears. Thanks!
Sorry to say, sounds like it's dead. I've heard of a trick where you wrap it up and put it in a freezer for a while and then you are able to get some data off it, never done that myself. Unless you want to spend big $ at some sort of file recovery company, you should do a search for that method.
14,782 tri's.....aaaaaand that's a wrap. I basically cut it in half from the original(30k) I am content with this. Thanks everyone for the advice and feedback. Next prop or vehicle I do, I will set the tri count to around 10-15k maximum for game quality as this seems to be what most people are saying for tanks and such.
Character Update. Just wrapped up the utility belt for the character, with a few minor texture changes to the body. Any feedback is appreciated. This was just for fun using one of my marmoset renders! The final version of the character will have a semi opaque cape attached to the armour but next I will be creating a…
It's looking good, the tape wrap is nice and the wear isn't overdone. If you wanted to improve the texture, I'd say that it feels a bit monotone at the moment. The concept has more separation in the grey tones so it doesn't feel flat. So you could adjust the values on the tape and the barrel area. Hope this helps
Hey mr.bear! THANK YOU! Haha I have been trying to figure out how to hide the hud since I started in UDK [about 2 weeks ago] and could not figure it out! *Also I need to tone down the spec on the roof, it kind of looks like it's wrapped in plastic... On the TO-DO list!*
