Hey guys, here's my second weapon. Hopefully I made some progress since my last project. The rifle is 6.7K triangles, the scope is 3.9K. Feedback is highly appreciated, thanks! :) Wireframe and flats:
thankyou for noticing :D your original idea isn't wrong and if you had hard requirements for your input design it might be the best way to go about it. i just reframed the problem. also i dont think you can parameterise the curve - you could replace it with a levels or some sort of input (gradient into a curve might work)
Hey guys, Re rendered my high poly MK18, that I made few months back. 3DS Max and V-Ray Higher quality images and wireframes on Artstation  https://www.artstation.com/artwork/AVJ9z
are the normals really soft or is that softened edges on the geo? because some parts look like they are made of plasticine. Also can you give us a wireframe?
Kind of hard to give input on how to optimize without wireframes. That particular scene looks like it'd be no more than a few thousand triangles though.
This is really cool! It does definitely capture Will Smith. I love the texturing, and it's superb for something so low poly. I'm curious to see the wireframe though!
@CrackRockSteady looks like a 50 cal Barret Sniper Rifle, or at least inspired by it. We need more screenshot breakdowns. Wireframes, close ups, turnarounds
The eyes look great! Are you following any qguidlines or tutorials? Any chance of a quick wireframe and screenshot of what you did with the materials for them? :poly121:
Okay, here's the high poly. And here's the low poly with the wireframe. and here's the normal map I'm getting for this part. UVs aren't final. Just testing.
