I think you just need to lose the ring its all sitting on ...expand the ground out. I think that will help the giant robot seem more plausible. He could probably have used more of a head describing peice like a metal jaw too. Good fun peice...I like these -

I hop you keep the room to scale with that little dude you have in the corner. It would definitely be something new in terms of everyday environments and makes you think about the room in more imaginative ways. What is this room designed around? fusion reactor, robot building room? etc. Looks nice tho. -

Well it's been done ... forever? Donkey Kong Country, Killer Instinct, Warcraft, Uniracers, *RISE OF THE ROBOTS!* and many others have that for playable characters even. From the thread title I thought you were building your pixel stuff with liitle 3d cubes in a 3d program, like a blocky lego hehe. -

It did! I chose the subject matter because I wanted to learn / show hard surface game asset creation, but didn't want to make a gun / weapon / robot. It also helped to have a lot of detailed reference since they are props that actually exist in the real world. It lead to working primarily on architecture and environment… -

Just a shot in the dark here - Unless your wrist/hand control objects are constrained to a rooted control object [not necessarily a 'root' control object but just something that is ultimately in the hierarchy and those hand control objects are contained to that], they won't move when you move the root and the geometry can… -

Mounting a gun on a robot to turn it into a sentry? That's a clever idea. I wonder though where its computer/brain is located. Suppose since it's a futuristic design the hardware required could be pretty compact but it looks like most available space of the frame is taken up by articulation-stuff. Would it be in the grey… -

I really dig what you having going already! One thought on the spider robot concept is to maybe have it fit with the scene by adding in some kind of armor that looks like classic architecture, like Shadow of the Colossus style. Arches and curves and then under these 'plates' there is mechanics and stuff. Keep it up though!… -

Yeah, I already commented on the whole setting and still say that this is bull. Its like calling the movie "A.I." for "Terminator: The Child", sure it got robots in it, but apart from that it got nothing to do with the originals, and that's okay because I enjoyed A.I. but sure would have thought something else if it had…
