example image of intended result Yep. TIG welds with heat anodized rainbow look is planned. Specifically going with TIG over MIG, oxyacetyline, arc, etc, BECAUSE RACECAR (reference to a meme in motorsports) Thanks for looking!
looks cool. The hair looks pretty straight. I'm pretty sure with Max's hair there's kink or frizz parameters that would take away some of the straightness. What platform is intended for the model? Is it more of a for film thing or illustration?
Looks great! To me it looks like the muzzle brake is not textured fully. Is that intended? Also I would make the areas that are supposed to be holes but are just baked down dark areas 100% black with zero gloss or sheen to it.
I'm not seeing much in the way of supporting edges in the lowpoly for controlling raycast direction. Do you intend to make a separate version with such loops, bake it, and then perform an Object->Tangent space conversion to apply the resulting map to the original?
Yea, if someone has a personal project that fits what you need, and if you're not intending to make any money off of your student project, I feel like most people would share it with you for free.
Generally, there will always be a seam if you zoom in far enough. This looks like you're zoomed in like 50x farther than you should be. What does the full asset look like and what is the intended viewing distance?
she has gigantic legs and arms, proportions are everywhere off and even if its intended I think it looks bad atm. Shift some stuff and make at least her arms more slim or less fatty.
@Pieru that sculpt looks fantastic man. Great work. Did you intend to have the first 2 fingers joined like that for the low poly? Great work all round. You guys are really smashing these out.
If you intend to have a software piece for commercial use, I would go with the majority as well, blender is the way to go. And if you know how to use max and maya it shouldnt take you long enough to learn it.
Basically if there is anyway you can skip ahead of the game and get an ability you're not supposed to have earlier then intended? Edit: Gotta ask, cause it's driving me crazy. Are the damage you take from spikes random?
