Conceptart.org has a net-sketch setup, or used to. I don't know if its still running. I don't think the new versions of OpenCanvas have network capabilities. 11b72 or 11b68 can be found online or downloaded from the conceptart IRC channel. Uni-Verse plugin looks pretty interesting too.
hehe I love their 2D buildings! :D Silly germans stick their k98's out of a single pixel of alpha (which is like 1ft wide..) and shoot ya from 500m... grr ;) I agree with Vig - brick decal looks upside down. Also, the corner brick decal is badly misaligned.
you didn't try other buttons? you've got stun and dodge on your other two face buttons and you can throw batarangs while in combat too. sure you can just spam attack, but that removes all the the fun of building a combo and leaping across a room to kick a guy in the nuts.
Looking better again. I have to admit i really hate your navigation though, that quirky X-Y mouse position camera movement drives me nuts. Do consider some decent mouse look and move controls, that way everybody can see your work in more detail.
Spec's most important job is to create differences between the look of "materials" I think the polished wood should be a bit shinier when compared to a dull gun metal. But there's a few spots that should be more intense on the gun, any scratched corner or edge, or any nuts/bolts/springs that are made of a different…
yea, an online mentoring program similar to animation mentor but for game art would rock. Hopefully significantly cheaper... The speed of improvement between someone who only learns off the net and someone who is being actively taught is pretty incomparable (at least from what I've seen of animation mentor students)
10,000?! you nuts? lol, Im sure you are seeing a lot of alpha possibilities, but you can't go crazy on alpha's as those are expensive. This is no small prop. This is beastly. Games coming out now, this is the new lowpoly no doubt. Especially for what we are seeing coming around the corner. ;)
Still pluggin'. Mostly tweaks all over. The last hour or so, I've been changing the colors pretty drastically. It's really driving me nuts, I'm having such a hard time trying to hit the right note with the overal tone. Feedback on colors and general mood is greatly appreciated.
WOW, really nice work, well done. Would be really great if you could do a timelapse or something as mentioned. Just some extreme nit picking. The eyes on the untextured view of her are a bit hazy, and the upper lip looks a bit flat, could do with a slight inflate.
This is looking cool so far, although the arm anatomy is a little strange in parts. For the cloth folds I'd say look up images of cargo pants, etc. on the net, - even take pictures from several angles of yourself wearing cargo pants if you can for good reference!
