It is a bit above 600 tris in my opinion, but everything depends on the other parameters too. Like neither its 10 or 600 or 5000 tris, it will be free if you use simple mat and acceptable texture res, but it will be super expensive if you add a material to it that use 2000 instructions, or if you add 8k textures. -

I was not making even close to 60k/year as a salaried employee. at 60k/year (of course no one works everyday for a year) I would actually be making oh so much more than my studio job. A thousand or two for healtcare?? Our family healtcare here cost us 180$/month! -

$600 my ass! I thought this kinect hack would allow people to do some crappy-esque mocap by themselves for the price of a kinect or two... gawd damn! might as well just fucking order a mocap shoot if stuff is gonna have these kinds of prices! I was waiting for 2-3 kinect support, hoping that the data would turn out better… -

If they really want to make things easy they just need to create an apple style app store for donations, give 60p here and 60p there when you want from your mobile or desktop to any donation, wildlife, guide dogs, video games, cancer research whatever. I don't see why that wouldn't be a better than what these people are… -

Its not stupid really. Actually it sounds like they try to make it cheaper for the small developers and its a good thing. edit: the 60k people who attend make up meanenglessy small fraction of the customers base, most still get the news from gaming sites so its really not worth it to make it grand for the 60k people. -

And your point is? $600 for a BluRay player ALONE is worth it. But the PS3 plays games, has media-center capability, and can read like 20 differant media formats. Keep in mind that the cheapest BluRay player is $1000. And there's no reason to believe a player will ship by PS3's launch, which will be less than $600. And… -

Hmm but im also wondering how do I get it stay center of the screen when the resize happens, check out the pictures below... 800 x 600 400 x 600 ( notice how the top and bottom of the screen expands up and down while the door stays centered. -

JMYoung, How long ago was this and what generation of cards? I hear people say this, but many times upon further inquiry, it was for older generation cards and drivers. Again, I point to that thread above to show at least for 3d, Nvidia hobbles the cards. I dunno, maybe for the 600 series they have finally taken the hint.…
