Not sure if this is the kind of drawing I'm supposed to post here but I'll go ahead anyway. I'm very much a beginner when it comes to drawing. I've got myself a graphic tablet but my college tutor and I have decided that I should go back to more traditional techniques before using a digital medium. So here's a sketch I did…
Been a while, sorry for the late response Erik Nilsson! Busy Easter :poly139: The Disney movies the reference images were from: Mulan, Lady & the Tramp and Lilo & Stitch! Selaznog, those skulls look so expressive! I think the loose pen strokes give them motion too :) bbob, juiiiicy marker drawings! I'd love to see more of…
that same old shit i'm sure we all wrestle with i reckon. in just seeing all the holes in your kit. got so much to learn before that pro as confidence kicks in. if it does. fucken hope so in most cases it's a matter of nothing seems to be working for the majority of a drawing. you sweat. then maybe get lucky. and it comes…
Madzia - Cholera dziewczyno!! I love love the changes you've suggested!I didn't realize a lot of those things.Especially the lighting stuff v___v. Hey while were on the topic of lighting, do you know any good references or books for lighitng, or painting/drawing in general? As for the guys in the pic, I was gonna have the…
@larolaro: very very nice. @ErikNilsson: I love the light greens and pink in that tribal painting. @artistictiger: just pick up a pencil until you get a tablet. drawing with a mouse is like... the worst thing to do. I did some ghost in the shell fanart although ive never seen anything of it. just googled searched it lol.…
Everyone is making some really awesome stuff, very inspiring! Wasker - that second picture made me laugh, I can only imagine what he was talking about haha. Also - WTF, thats not fair that you can draw heads so nicely without refs. MGrecke - Dude those aliens have a lot of character, I really like how they are rendered too.
Very accurate-looking studies Korpehn! Some studies of my own from tonight, tried to do that thing where you exaggerate the style but still draw from a ref: Then I did this guy, did a more realistic study first, then some more fun with color and shape on the second: Singer and Erik, you guys are tearing it up! Love all the…
Makkon:Lies! Is that Equestria in the middle!! I mean... I have no idea what that place even means..pfft.. what is that right? Am I right? Looks like the commissions are doing you well mate! Keep it up. I've been trying to tighten up a lot lately in hopes that I can make a better portfolio. WIP EDIT: DONE!! :D Because I…
I agree its useful to rotate the canvas, as even I do it with traditional mediums, but I'm talking about holding off from doing that so that he gets better at doing those angles with his tablet. Thats why its important to learn to draw with the elbow AND shoulder, as tiring as it is, its still going to yeild way way better…
I'm not a great 2D artist at all, but I'll have to disagree with this. Even in the video you just posted you can see Feng rotating his canvas all the time. If you draw from the elbow there are certain angles that are just way easier if you rotate the canvas because you can use your elbow as a pivot point. (7:35 and up…
