I am having some problems with small detail, need more practise in mudbox I geuss Lovely work Pior, Mop and Jaco! Rooster, I am not sure but maybe the arms need some more length or his hand need to be a bit bigger. I do like the clay look a lot, keep it up.
finally getting a chance to mess with zbrush 3, and trying to get a better handle on anatomy. i started using a base mesh arshlevon posted a while ago, thanks! i totally messed up his hands trying to use transpose, and i need to make the level of detail all over the model more consistent.
[ QUOTE ] Doing some baggy pants studies. For the longest time I could necer figure out how to do them, but I have it now! It's just intersecting geometry, it's so obvious. [/ QUOTE ] Oh my that's nice. Such natural stance and proportions, I especially like the hands. Makkon you've got some awesome skills.
little update i made a lot of little changes to the feet and shoes also the butt :P i attached the hands to the forearms and took some polies off of it. i also added a little bulge at the top of the forearm where the bicep would be.and i fixed the elbow joint alot! tell me what you think.
Hi everyone, I decided I would create a low poly character with a hand held such as the Nintendo DS or PSP in mind. He weighs in at 440 triangles and has a 128x128 map. I plan to recreate his stage and another fighter with the same limits of map size and poly count. Critiques or comments are very welcome. Thanks
irritant: the top one needs a LOT more detail for the size that it is. more hand painted 1pixel detail, and i'd definitely kick back the dark shadows a bit, along with the bright light in the middle. even on older tech (which i'm assuming you're still working with) that much baked lighting pretty much wont look good.
Noritsune. In MR under render settings, the quality of your render is on the left hand and says something like "samples" at the top, with two drop down boxes (I usually set these at 4/16 for a good still render). Now the one on the right side says "filter". Change it to "box", "zero". The removes texture blurriness…
[ QUOTE ] Adam: I think maybe you've got your numbers reversed. I'd say you could do without a few more polys on that gloved hand. The ring you've got going through the abdomen doesnt seem to be contributing much to the silhouette, but Im guess it'll be nice when it comes to animation/deformation. [/ QUOTE ] LOL, yeah they…
Neox: This character keeps looking better and better. Can't wait to see it fully completed. Neo_God: That is highly disturbing. Great work. Darksun: I like what you've done with the hands. You could probably thicken the ears on him slightly. Aaaand another head. I'm sure you guys are getting sick of these but they're great…
I thijki it was the cleanness of the lines for the stylisation comment. perhaos his pants could be slightly baggier, more folds gathering etc I think his hands are a bit thin/childlike also and his legs are a bit spindly. Quite ofen you see these bouncers in night clubs where they can barely fit in their suits, like…
