The only thing that can be too old is your portfolio. In the US at least it's illegal to consider age for employment. Besides you'd be a young'en at Robot. I'm 30 and one of the youngest on the art team. The average age is about 36. I've been in the industry since 19, so I'm grizzled beyond my years.
Here is my current work in progress, It's a digital piece featuring a Robot Chef. It's a lot more sophisticated than my other pieces of digital art as i've been able to take time over it to look into the lighting and tonal values first my plan is to then add in the colour at the end . Here it is in it's varying states:
this is what i get from ur silluettes: 1-hot millitary girl 2- baseball girl with something a rope or something. 3- spikey warrior girl with knuckle claws 4- humanoid alien, has mayby some exoskaleton or robotics build in 5- swords girl, pretty plain but easy to tell.
Robot Glenn Miller's Orchestra is a trio of guys from NY (Brooklyn, to be fuckin' specific) with a swedish death metal guitarist brought in as a ringer. good times. goooood times 99% on medium vocals score, first try on Don't Fear the Reaper. I rocked me some cowbell, you best believe.
Looks like with a machine like that for a robotic leg the rest of his legs would have trouble supporting it. Unless they were enriched with nano-technology (!!!). Perhaps making his leg a little more ferrett-friendly would help. LOVE the face mod though - reminds me of Jago from Mortal Kombat.
Haven't had time to update due to our game project. Had a quite intense final crunch, but now it's all over. Got some pieces for our rts, created all the vehicles and one robot. I'll try to upload the rest of them with maps and RTS-views. Plus the low poly for the spidertank is done.
Nice job luizcouri3! Some feedback: - Right now it feels a little weightless, if you see his lower body it moves like a robot and his COG don't translate to the sides according to his weight, it just rotates. - Try to avoid that his feet only go forward without going to the sides :) ! and that will help
New update on the color and hard line for the town, color wishes for the sky. I need to put some blur, work on the sky and put a robot dog with him. I like the immobilise way. I'll try to increase it with some chimney's cloud in the back. Maybe a little sepia ambiance to refer to old family pictures.
If anyone is doing the modem prop (the white machine in the last concept), I found some references that should help with getting the back side. Just click the images on the page to enhance them here (https://www.getthatpart.com/US-Robotics-56K-Sportster-V_90-External-Fax-Modem-5686-03.html). Hope that helps!
w00t! btw if anyone cares; when i played it BGE1 on me XP PC i had didn't have any graphical issues even with all cores turned on, but I did have to use an unofficial patch to get this glitchy key (that a robot drops in the slaughter house area) as it was crashing the game for me.
