answer here is still to wait for Quixel to sort out the service to be cabable of an open beta. Eric, are the materials that ship with ddo considered to be megascans? or are they considered beta materials? If you plan to use mipmaps, imo your pic should more looks like this Create a 2048 pic in photoshop, save is as dds with generate mipmaps on. Re-open it in photoshop with load mipmaps on. Then edit the pic the way you want and save as dds with use existing mip maps. /Just seen Eric made one in the linked post.

Eric: "_noshadows.fx" is the max 9 version, the technique is SM3 and it's the same machine. Revel:I'm using the old shader on max 9 because i get errors with 1.5 (only works with max 2008+ i believe). I would've used 3PS light, but again i'm screwed. The ghetto workaround is importing a max 9 scene with shader applied =/.
