Nice script! Also High poly stuff is looking pretty tidy, especially the axes. I agree with elias though you should look at adding more detail like damage, imperfections. Make them look a bit used or like a blacksmith crudely bashed one out.
Looks like a good start! :) Colours are nice and consistent, it fits together well. However I think the damage/dirt on the barrels does not look very natural or realistic, it looks like you've just pasted a big photo over it (especially the bottom of the barrels that have fallen over).
This is the problem with crowdfunding today. People are just using it as a new means of acquiring and consuming a product and treating it as a preorder - which is just damaging to the whole point of crowdfunding. It's $40 because you're investing into a product. You can't just sell things, you need capital to actually…
I smoothed out the back muscles and continued to adjust them but I ended up getting a bit stuck on the shoulders and decided to stop before doing more damage. So far I think this is looking better than my first attempt with the back, but still not quite right.
its much better the smoothing groups look still a bit weird but that could be me:) i think the edge damage is much better right now and you are improving alot by changing small bits! also the roughness looks a bit blond maube you could play with that more:)
Looking very solid so far... I'd maybe add a few larger indents on the blade... since all the cracks/scratches so far are about the same width in damage it looks a little uniform... it's not a big job but it does give off a much more comfortable/dynamic look :)
Definately agree with eat3d stuff... the Old damaged pillar is awesome :D Wish they would hurry up with the dozer part 2 though :D :D Practice any time you aren't asleep - and then you will dream of quads :D At least I did not so long ago :/
Looks great. Only thing I would suggest is a bit more damage I guess it depends what you are going for a no need to over do it but a few sword hacks taken out of the main supports or something might look cool. Only a suggestion though. Nice work :)
I like this. :) But I also feel like all the wear and tear stops once you hit the cockpit area, which is where I would imagine a lot of the damage and what not would happen, as the operator is climbing in and out of the vehicle all the time. But that's just my two cents.
I've been continuing to learn how to use Blender for this contest, so it took me rather longer than it would do in 3DS Max to get to this high poly stage - I'm still having to look up a lot of shortcuts! I'll add the screws, text and damage in ZBrush.
