ah thanks for the info, i did not even think of the cancel button, just so used to using ctrl z, i purchased your 2 script packs this morning also, looking forward to implementing some of this stuff in my work flow
You can use Zbrush and paint on a plane assuming you have it. You can set the axis you want to mirror which will probably be Z or Y and select radial symmetry. There is also an option for the number of symmetries, which would be 2 in this case.
I think maya 2011 was the last version with FBIK and is now fully replaced by HIK. You can try to bake down your animation on the skeleton the select the hips right click on translate z and x in the Channel Box and press "mute selected".
illybang is right - that flickering ("Z-fighting") is caused by the pieces overlapping. It looks like the pieces aren't a size that will snap to the grid nicely - ensure they are exactly 256 units long. Could you also post a screenshot of the top-down wireframe view in UDK?
"....the Z needs to be calculated in the pixel shader. (The material editor does this automatically, note the increased instruction count in the screenshot above)." Before 2012 you can use standard extrude and either pull on the blue handle or set the "Local Translate Z", still works in 2012 of course - but "thickness" works a little differently. Try both to see which one works best for you.
It's a good idea to get into the habit of making art that will have as few technical problems as possible. I recommend cutting those objects rather than leaving them clipping. It's better for lighting, shadows, and can prevent ugly texture flickering/z-fighting.
good work there Lom Chaos.the z brush sculpt is also looking pretty decent....i would suggest u to post ur WIP and other work stuff in the pimping and preview section..u will receive loads of help and sugestions to improve urself
vahl: i have to build the bsp and add some Z-Axis definitely. Slaught: yep, i really miss assault which is why i'm playing around with the shield idea. would make capturing the flag just a little more fun.
Well dragon ball and dragon ball Z are different. :D in DBZ goku is an adult. :D and you all you see is them getting ready to take a crap and scream a lot... I mean them getting ready to fight and power up...
