Alright I don't much knowledge about Max but this should work. Make a fresh copy of your weapon in its default position and freeze xform or whatevver you call it. Skin all the parts of the weapon to joints. Simply parent constrain the joints to the animated meshes. Bake the animation on the joints then export.
XXXTHECHAD: Thanks guy, I fixed the normals! So I think I am done with this one, gonna move onto a sci fi fighter arena environment and another weapon. I think this weapon looks a lot better in engine, the spec makes stuff pop, hard to capture it in stills.
yep yep, you can get crazy with this game. i just unlocked another weapon today, i was disapointed in how i obtained it, but its probably the most powerful weapon in the game. i also got a new gun but havnt tried it yet. also, lvl3 swordmaster+rebellion= hilarious.

Visually it looks great, but why class based fps. I'd much rather have a quake/ut style arena shooter. The special abilities are cool but I don't like spawning with 1 or 2 weapons and being limited to only those. Classes+special abilities and weapon pickups aren't mutually exclusive design concepts.
