Quick ref card and CDs in paper sleeves, that's all you get with the retail version. Oh, and disk errors, I got those free of charge. And paid 55 bucks instead of 50. Thanks, Vivendi, go fuck yourselves. Frank the Avenger
Hello, I am modeling a browning 50 Cal Machine gun and i am struggling to make the main barrel bit that has the holes in it. Im trying to boolean it but the topology comes out bad. Whats a good method of getting clean topology and keeping its roundness? Thank you.
ok, i was texturing some stuff, i merged the layers, and applied a sharpen filter to enhace some definition, each file had like 50 -100 layers. i save AND BAM, computer restarts !!!!!!!!!!! now i just have the merged image with the sharpen applied....im about to despair...
i would also pay for someone to develop a good intermediary format between blender and maya/max/lightwave etc. ill put $50 in who wants to meet that ? btw iqm is a really good import export format, it is actively maintained also. http://lee.fov120.com/iqm/
Thanks guys - think I found the reason, I was importing it at a tiny scale from Maya and then scaling it up by around 50-100 units :/ When I scaled it up and froze the transformations in maya then reimported, the lightmap issue went away, also increasing the resolution helped XD
For $50, I really like Art Rage. It has it's limitations but it really depends on what you plan to be doing if they will even bother you or not. I really like the brushes and the pallets, it feels a lot more like traditional drawing and painting. I also really like Paint Symmetry.
I just passed my 5 year mark where, statistically %50 say "fuck this shit" and quit the game industry all together. I'd say it's one of the few industries that isn't completely filled with old timers trying to prevent new blood from taking their jobs.
I've had some issues finding edges and things too, using curvature. Like it isn't high contrast enough, even though I've tried exaggerating it while keeping the 50% midtone, and it hasn't helped. I have to tweak the mask presets a lot to get anything usable.
Thanks @mrawolf good point! I'll get some bounce up there :) Here's some Pixelverse parasites: The project it's from; Rad Rodgers, is a 3D Sidescroller, it's looks cute but its full of violence and has a Rick & Morty style humour. It's 50% funded on Kickstarter if you guys are interested.
Hi! Looking good! About the spec/gloss. If you are using gloss maps, you might want to multiply them with a constant of 50-100 before you connect it to SpecularPower, somehow I feel i get a more "correct" result when I do this. Hope this helps!
