the second lid looks a little thin. You also shouldn't need all those points coming to a point at the front of the bowl, round out those edge loops in the front and it can make it a bit rounder at the front there. Just delete those edges in front and create new ones that wrap around the bowl...
Nice model, could you show some wires of the body? As for the ear, my best advice would be to look at some pics of real ears: I've tried to show the main forms of the ear, you should look at some pics from the front to. Notice how the red form wraps into the depths of the ear.
Thank ya much man. Yea i realized this same thing when I scrapped the previous armour he had. Originally he had bulky leg wraps on the lower parts of his legs and the increased size seem to level out the weight, but I'm working on bulking them up to match.
No clue. The shader might not work perfectly with certain angles or maybe they just recently got a proper working version. Also the ambient occlusion baking works much more accurately if the model actually has chamfered edges. But in some cases it's definitely preferable to wrapping up the whole model with edgeloops just…
ok first: your uvs are totally awful I bet it's some kind of auto-unwrap that you didn't touched once - at least it looks like that. And 2nd you can check under the brush setting the "Alignment". The default is tangent, wrap and should be the usually preferred setting.…
Is this a finished model or do you want feedback to improve upon? Its hard to know when you dont write anything. The textures feel like a standard substance material with edge mask and I dont know why you only added one material to the whole model. Wouldnt the wrap on the handle be leather for example?
And that's a wrap! I'm calling it done. I'm pretty happy overall with how it turned out, gave me a lot of opportunity to explore materials, lighting, animation and marmoset toolbag in general since I haven't actually used it yet. High res images and process can be found on Artstation here:…
Show an example of what are you trying to achieve exactly. But in general, large assets shouldn't be using unique texture because of the resolution limitations. Wrapping even a 4k texture on a 10m asset will never look high res. You could either split the mesh up into multiple materials, or consider tiling materials with…
The partially bent string is odd - it really would make more sense bent back behind the catch. The bottom of the stock is often rounded to provide a more comfortable & reliable grip. The bands around the ends of the string seem anachronistic. They were typically either knotted or wrapped and glued: Also note the rope-like…
Hey! I just thought I would post up some screens of the finished version of this project. I was having some trouble with the colours so hopefully they came out alright! Otherwise I'll have to tackle it all when I'm not quite as tired! Anyways I hope you all like! Thats a wrap!! :)
