finished the blade and not much else. slow as bricks fleshed out the weapon pod things for tinker tho. got a pretty rough idea of what i wanna do for the backpack and the robo limbs as well
Today I've made small progress with skeleton, so I wont publish it yet but I've been working on environment for my game and here's first brick :) I'm still waiting for Your feedback!
So whats the purpose of this? For game rez practice or high poly practice? Seems like making high poly bricks would be a tad overboard since most of the elements in this could be faked with just texturing.
Nice! Very innovative. I'll remember this for future projects. I can see the same concept being applied to grass and such, or even pre modeled and pre rendered surfaces like bricks and stone tiles.
lol, l33tness. I made a "game" in Maya once with a small hovercraft shooting bricks with particles. Only one problem, there wasn't really a big market for it, since the minimum system requirements were... Maya.
I'd love to have a try at texturing it! I'm practicing texturing, and trying to find all the SDKs I can. A showroom (or even better, a racing game!) full of customized scion bricks would be great!
Not bad maybe I bit bright of a green with that brick texture. Maybe Desaturate a little. Also Moss only really grows where there is dampness/water and sun so you might not get so much at the top there
It's easier for us to comment if you host the images somewhere and post image links to them. Medieval towns (at least European ones) were rarely made from brick. They were usually plaster over wooden slats.
This is looking great so far. I really want to see where this ended up. I'm doing a castle myself for an Unreal Tournament level. Got any tips on creating those modular brick sets? :D
So theoretically speaking, I can generate a brick wall normal from a photo with both programs, and with a little tweaking, I can get generally the same quality normal? I think that's what he's getting at.
