Will probably go watch it the weekend after. Can't stand the crowds at openings. PLEASE NO SPOILERS!! As much as I like Christian Bale, in a battle of Arnold vs. Bale, it's a Arnold hands down.
Think of an alternative being not being able to bake lights and having shite dynamic lights, producing a final, turd-like result. The grass on the other side of the fence can be brown indeed.
I like the last 2 mechs, but not the marauder skin, it's way too noisy and crowded, too many strong black lines etc. Makes it hard to follow it's shape, or any shape.
Maya always creates these brown extra joints to support the other hose joint-chains... for some reason? I'm suspecting this is a problem with the translations when I'm skinning the geometry to the joints, rather than the exact hierarchy?
well he kept the palette true ; ) nice brown and yellow tones , clothing + hair color + skin color haha why is the shirt so glossy, whats that for a material , the folds look like its wet
Need to do some more tweaks to the grass. Leaves can be adjusted (how many there are...etc), the colour for the leaves are gradient mapped then within a tile generator the luminance and saturation are adjusted to get the various brown colours.
You may also want to put a little more time into the transitions on the skin. The hornish things on his brown just merge into the skin on the scalp with no real transition. Same with those odd runic depressions in this face.
Looks decent. Won't be seeing it in theaters most likely, I tend to avoid the "Burton crowd" whenever possible. I'm mostly excited to see Crispin Glover as the Knave of Hearts, I loved him in Willard.
This is some really nice and inspiring stuff. One question: at the brown rocks you have some really heavy UV stretching at the base. Why? Is it because this parts will not be visible? If so, why have them at all?
Skamberin, my guess is it has nothing to do with the anniversary. The guy went to the first show of Batman in his time zone and re-enacted part of the film which I'm sure confused a very crowded audience.
