Last time I started in Zbrush from scratch everything looked strange, then I realized that the default fov was at 90... 50 is a better value, you shouldn't have a lot of difference with other soft. the fov can be changed in the DRAW menu.
Are you sure you are not the designer for USA forces Tanks cammo pattern in Korean war back in 50? :D , very good aproach well done. It reminds me the designs that US Tank crews paint their Tanks durring Korean war!
My main cost, on the business side toolset, are email newsletter fees (which for me come in at about 50/month due to the volume I send). That plus web hosting... at 10/month. That's about it really, most of the other stuff is opensource.
Having some weighting problems with the hair: Some of them seem to be sticking together too much near the end. They're weighed thusly: The strands closest to the bone are weighed at 100%, and the next is 75%, then 50%, and then 25%. What should I do?
I'm always in awe when i see sakimichan's monthly income for her art.. https://www.patreon.com/sakimichan Nearly 50 k/month which is insane. I don't really enjoy her art but it's good fanservice I guess.
IMO, the spikes around the sphere pop up too fast. They almost look instant, especially compared to the progression of the forward moving rift. Slow the initial spike movement by 25-50%, and have it slow down as it reaches its full height.
There is a free version of 3DF Zephyr. Its more or less fully functional, but you are limited to 50 images per model. You'll easily hit that limit with large/complex objects, but its enough to learn the process and do plenty of simpler things.
Mirroring is pretty standard for assets like that. Even on most of my guns I'm usually mirroring 50-80 percent of the asset to give more texture density. I think that will help a ton and it will definitely be something that studios look for on art tests.
I think they sold the format, so expect a USA (euro)vision contest soon, with 50 states. Tulkamir: the contest has been going since before most of us were born, but its a good thing you've never heard of it.
