The tip of the cannon shouldn't be so clean if it's been in use. Go over your diffuse, see which areas need more dinging and damage than others. Use reference. See how other games like Company of Heroes do their textures on the same type of weapon.
PeterK, sure, if you want to pay for your own lawyer. But stopping them from distributing your work doesn't make you any money from damages, and doesn't win you back lawyers fees. Only registering your copyright lets you do that.
Damn this model still rocks my socks. Maybe I'll take a go at it and do some damage to his armour. make it look nice and dirty. Nice start MoP... BTW, your image you posted seems really fuzzy? That just from the compression of the jpeg?

One criticism I'd have of your texture is that you've got a lot of wear on the sides of the table - but the doors and the table top haven't suffered the same damage when surely they'd see more use than the side. For the sake of consistency, I'd suggest you revisit :)
The more i look at it, the more i love it as a Noob project... Nice level of modularity. Good scene for texture improvement and decal work. Cool semi-damaged distanced buildings. It'd be cool to see how different artist's approach the area's off-shot if it's chosen :)
I keep getting this error when I try to install: "The application could not be installed because the installer file is damaged. Try obtaining a new installer file from the application author." I've updated AIR and tried re-downloading several times. Any ideas?
Spent a little more time on the texture today here is how it looks currently, still have some work to go. I want to clean up the grunge in areas and add some more damage in areas as well. As always please feel free to critique and comment.
Grunge should focus on bottom parts as they are most likely to get in real world, as well as damages. It also cloud be darker let's say from mud, depends where it's going to be used. Also this edge brightening is way to strong especialy with comprasion with grunges on both sides of it.
More of an update, added some zbrush details and some basic colours to work with later when it comes to texturing. Might go back and tone back the damage on the grip tape but I will see how it looks on the low poly then decide as its easy enough to change.
