Thanks. Just to clarify it is okay to have multiple UV islands one the same area with the first texture sheet. An example would be the front and left side walls sit on the brick texture on top of each other?
Any tutorials showing how to do this? I've been trying to follow Philip (http://www.philipk.net/tutorials/materials/tilesbricks/tilesbricks.html) However I just can't seam to add extra depth to some of the bricks.
Hi KyleAndrewsDev I think you can improve the materials some. Adding more geometrical details like brick-rims at the top would also help to make the facades more believable. Good luck :)
Feedback changes - Brought van closer for focal point and composition. - Opened garage door further for more light - Taken out white sun bloom to show more of sky - Toned down brick highlights
The Force Unleashed is only the second XBox360 game I've completed all the achievements for (excepting the DLC). Sith Master difficulty was at time like bashing my head against a brick wall (Kazdan Pratus fight).
The way the ground texture blends from brick to dirt looks bad. Use an alpha to get a nicer blend. Eat3D has nice tutorial on this if you haven't done it before. http://eat3d.com/free/vertex_painting
This looks awesome, I'm not sure how possible it is, but perhaps you can try working in ambient occlusion or a height map in to distorting the flow. I feel like water should be collecting in the cracks and seams of the bricks.
On top of everything that was said, you also don't have a specular power in your material. Set that value to something greater than 1 to control the shine of the bricks (even though their color is little goofed at the moment).
Wow. Congrats, mate! Your pieces look really awesome. They game itself looks really really waseome!Ich bin shit bricks.) Uncharted is one of the reasons I'll get myself a ps3 someday.
You can just draw the ztools into the canvas and using the tilda key ~ and alt+dragging will tile perfectly into the canvas. But for bricks, wood planks and other kind of pattern you don't have much control over it.
