Sup guys, so in this thread I will be posting progress of all types of art. If you have the time Crit when you can! Dunno if anyone has seen the dagger set I have been working on, but here is what I have so far. Final Sculpt In Max (no spec) Pretty much only have worked on the wraps :( . more progress on this soon. Thanks!
Working on this T-Rex! I think the skin and overall shapes are pretty much done, now I just have to wrap up the eyes and pose, then render! I can't decide if I want to do a simple BPR render, or throw it in substance painter to add roughness variations and AO on the skin.
I like the structure of the face. I think making the gills/jaw line a bit more realistic with the cut wrapping around under the chin would make him look a bit more distinctly fishy. A dorsal fin might add a bit of extra interest to his back area and silhouette.
So I've wrapped up this first bust, threw some colours on him and tried a little pose. Gonna move onto the next one and try to experiment more, especiually the hair. Though I tried my best everything still feels.. blobby and saggy. anyways Eris done for now!
Gotta say, from my little time in Japan I noticed they're a lot stricter on imagery and copyrights. No photographing signs almost everywhere and all the books and mangas out there are kept plastic wrapped, barely any browsing at all! They're more into selling you stuff than sharing, that's for sure.
Totally man. Last night I made further adjustment and the ass flap was totally removed :P I also slimmed her down in general as well. Definitely gonna spend more time on her face. I'm trying to wrap my head around the idea of hard surfacing atm <_<'
The whole prop could be divided into fifths, so you'd only need to texture 1/5 of the circle. I'd probably just eye ball it, then adjust it back and forth until it looked right.. For the patterns that go in a circle, I'd make a tileable and unwrap that strip in a straight line so that it wraps in a circle.
YES!!!! It's one great movie over all! very good plot, twists, turns and it wraps up nicely. Plus everyone in the movie plays their part so well. Just rewatched that the other day on netflix hehe i recommend it if one of you guys have not seen it. Scudz, you are up.
Just kind of wrapped up another floor piece. Now time to move on to some wall/corner/ceiling units. I need to start figuring out my meshes and stuff too going into Unity. I should start that before my next texture to start organizing my scale.
Challenger, You're spot on. I didn't spend too much time concepting the legs and boots as they are going to follow along the rest of the theme. It was also getting late and my 3 yo daughter was yelling at me and freezing me with her Elsa powers so I had to wrap it up. :D
