I might raise the innermost corner of his eyebrows a bit. Right now it's giving him this odd angry look that makes me think more...Peter Steele. That's being pretty nit-picky, though. Looking good so far, I dig the hair.
Super solid work, going right into the inspiration folder. If I had to complain (and it's being nit-picky) I'd say everything is pretty monotone, with the exception of the second to last bust. That could just be the art of the game, but that's what stands out to me. Great artwork though!
oh yeah, you may want to turn your characters into a point cache so you dont have hundreds of bipeds running around. This has the bonus of being able to net-render without headaches. You could make these spawn by pflow too.. nice.
This is verrrrryyy sexy. GT5 uses 200k tris? Thats nuts! lol. I'm guessing that means you wont be using any textures really then right? What kind of shader are you using on this guy? Keep up the good work! Looking foward to seeing the engine.
Some updates to the fountain. (just to mention again its based on a GoW concept I found on the net) Also used this time to test a lighting and material setup. Thanks to X-Convict for posting his info. I think it's a great way to present a HP model.
Despite the rain and coffee breath, I still have a strong to desire to come back home. :P Great video, always been a big fan of Arena Net, it's cool too see how things started and hear about their process. Can't wait to play it.
Good point, even being a moisture farmer, wasteland wandering tribesmen or midget scavenger or a pod racer gets you killed too... Hell you could be sitting in a bar and suddenly some crazy old man goes nuts and cuts off your arm!
Electro - Thanks Sectaurs - Heh. Yeah I have gone a little nuts with them ComradeJ - I appreciate your concerns. I am really not very good at unique design. I decided to remove some and shrink some of the collar and start on the under armor.
Poop w/nuts!?! Everyone KNOWS it's supposed to be Poop w/corn!! ;D Great work, very cool stuff, my only comment about the concept would be give the fly guy a chef's hat and apron, rather than just a wifebeater and whitie tighties.
if your just practicing modeling, lets start with something a bit easier. You are gonna go nuts tryin to make all that detail, specially the characters in there. ps. the swirly thing you have made doesnt dead end, it flows into the next swirly thing on the edges.
