Practicing some larger rock formations.. some kind of dota themed jungle shrine. I found using hPolish with inbed set to 0 and alpha 28 gives some nice results
Hey there again, finished a new environment piece based off an ancient, crumbling Roman baths, converted into a shrine to Aphrodite. Hope you guys enjoy. Link to Artstation with more shots: https://www.artstation.com/artwork/0XqNZK
For this project we had to create a 3D environment with a story behind it and put the final project into unreal. In my environment the islands are floating due to magic centered around the shrine in the middle of the center island.
I made up this little overgrown shrine/dungeon entry thing for an afternoon project. Not too bad for being a quickie model, though the mapping on the "tree stump" part still has a few quirks.
The drapes read fine to me. Obviously the crease needs a cloth to hold it in place so I'm sure you'll add that in. It's really shaping up. Looking at it almost makes me wish there was a organ in front of the shrine ;)
Got a grass texture and alpha I like so I moved onto making one of the main plants I plan on populating the island with, Thistles. And I have my base shrine ready for zBrush
Definately loving this. This is so awesome lol. I am going to be doing a celtic warrior shrine and this is great inspirations haha. I'm loving the sword as well. Definately going to keep following this thread keep it up!
For this project we were tasked with creating a 3D environment with a story behind it and putting the final product into Unreal. For my environment the islands are being held up by magic which is throwing off gravity in this environment, the shrine at the center of the island is the source of this power!
Starting a new project! This is for my Advanced 3D modeling course - I'm doing a small diorama of a korean-inspired shrine that could fit into world of warcraft as a Pandarian structure :) I'd love some feedback on shapes and legibility!
SCREENSHOTS I'm going to add a lake, a small shrine/grave type object, my puzzles, some pines, grass, and a small destructible room. I'll be ensure that the horizon dose not remain as boring as it is (mountains maybe) critiques are more than welcome.
