My view of things: (i could be wrong..)Suppose things like extra detailing can still be done, if people like to keep those anatomy muscle memories thriving due to repeated "recreation & brush-up", then it can still be useful. Not a big "make-art-button", guy as others of late have been by promoting it, so i would still use…
This week I focused primarily on the texturing process and the initial scene setup in Unreal Engine. I completed the full texturing pass on my model, making sure all materials were properly created and applied to achieve a consistent and realistic look across the asset. I paid attention to detail in the surface quality to…
Movies easily use up to 4/8k UDIM tiles. So either you have to use higher res textures or split your UV's over more UDIMs. As far as I know there's only one software package that enables you to continuously texture/paint over multiple UDIMs, and that's Mari 3D. Substance painter supports UDIM tile sets but doesn't allow…
Hello, i have read quite a lot about this issue on net, but i have few questions i didnt find the answer to. The main advantages for using 32 bit displacement maps over 16 bit is: 1) The absence of "terrace" effects (artifacts) in 32 bit 2) And the ability to push the mesh even down, not just up (as 16 bit displacement map…
Let that be the first post of hopefully, my large sketchbook I think I will be posting things like random drawings or things that I've made but didn't plan on developing further, incomplete models or stuff made in the past that I'm not so proud to show in my portfolio. Bigger and new projects, like complete models, I would…
If it has been converted to 16 bits, you have removed the additional information, converting it back to 32 bit won't magically recreate it (you could blur it afterwards, of course, but that will only work in certain cases with little to no details).
And? You mistake me for someone who's invested in this sphere. A friendly reminder we got documented proof Bobby Kotick came up with lootboxes while doing coke from a minor's tummy at the Epstein's Funny Farm. He's doing great btw. Apparently crab mentality is reminding folks the people they work for will literally leave…
Hello everyone, I'm reaching out to discuss a highly technical topic today. It's about the incredibly realistic animations in the upcoming game ILL. I don’t know how many of you have seen the trailer recently, but the way the creatures look like they have actual fleshy skin and their natural posing really caught my eye.…
This looks like a fun project and the progress so far is promising. Very nitpicky, so feel free to ignore: I think some of the cracks on the face are a bit random. They go in all directions rather than following some internal structure or weak points, and some of the widest, most open parts are in flat or depressed areas…
Been unfocused, small update. Gonna go work through the numbers. Realised the skeleton was off quite a bit on quite a few areas and will have to adjust that.
