I have the Canon Rebel XT and like it very much. Though I had a Canon 35mm Rebel 2000, so admittedly I was a bit biased, and it helped to already know how to use most of the features.
it doesn't seem too bad if your sitting at home unemployed twiddling your thumbs, but if your trying to switch jobs and still have full time work it seems pretty unfairly biased against those people
at a guess, I think normal god rays with a depth biased alpha on them, so when they intersect with geometry they cut out. Bit expensive at the size you are looking for though, I think. There might be a better way to do them though.

Obviously biased, but there is a bunch of OpenGL features + NVIDIA extensions (bindless family) that allow to give you very high amount of drawcalls + different constant data/textures per call as well (which do not exist in DX land).
Dataday didn't meet the burden of proof to substantiate his claim. He provided biased sources that lacked any facts and tried to use it to disprove an argument that did cite factual sources. He doesn't get any credit for that.
My opinion might be biased, but I really enjoyed the game. Got a ton of statues and leaderboard screenshots. Cheese; that turned out to be a old line of code from DAoC days they've since removed. It's smooth as butter now.

it looks like a family size mini cooper and whats the deal with the offset speedometer panel... how does that help? I'm biased, though, I really never liked the new trend towards boxy cars... the scions being the poster children of that movement
