Which game did you play Ben? HL2's character lighting didn't impress me either. OK here's a shot. I haven't played Episode One though, from the side-by-side shots in the paper it seems like the lighting has come a long way, like take a look at page 38. The Half-Lambert looks nice too, I like the soft terminus. -

I don't know what alpha overdraw is... all I know is that performance is over 38 FPS in the Sandbox 2 editor with a 9800GTX; and performance is worse in the editor than it is in-game. On Very High settings, it stays steadily at 1.2 million tris and 25-30 FPS (still talking about in-editor). It definitely performs better… -

GODDAM. I'm 18 hours into ME2 now and I still have 6 loyalty missions and 2 more characters to get, so I'm sure it'll take me at least another 7-8 hours, and I was already impressed that I was at 18 compared to the 14 it took for me to beat ME1. but 38? damn! is that a new game +? no way that's one run through. -

It's not important at all (unless you're maybe 70!) many people decide they get to the age of 30, or even 40, and decide they hate their career and completely switch to Concept Art or 3D.
