Thanks for the help everyone :) So regarding something you mentioned Fab_G; were the "strong mesh shading gradients" I'm assuming you are talking about the dark lines along the sides of the legs? I made a high poly detailed table then baked the details onto the low poly version, but maybe that was too much and is leaving…
it's a bit rough and ready with no error checking evaluate the attached macro script and add to your ui then in editable poly select an edge and press the button and you can slide along the edge all you want.... it could also be adapted to work on editable mesh
