Yes, but only on some heroes based on their default material. I don't know if there's a comprehensive list of which do and do not support it. I'm not sure about couriers or wards.

you are right with the ear, my bad with the false alarm and that brow hud... had some headaches with that too. some heroes should not have that to give us a little more freedom..
