On that note, you could also do something similar to 3D Motive and offer video streaming tutorials for a monthly fee, or charge a higher amount to purchase tuts separately. I've subscribed to 3D Motive a few times myself when they had a specific tutorial I really wanted on the site. :) Hmm or maybe even sell a PDF with…
UPDATE: Started adding..stuff. :D Random Props: I've been streaming me working on this sometimes. Usually really late at night if you want to check it out. Still gotta add more stuff and make the place a tad more dirty. A lot of people say its too clean, but the idea is that, it's after school hours, the janitors have…
Hey! I'm calling out for a little help. A generous member from diablofans.com helped me acquire the below concept shot from a HQ stream from the Blizzcon 2010 conference, when the Demon Hunter characteristics were presented. This is a concept which I am having a huge difficulty finding anywhere online. :(…
I know it sounds stupid but and not answering the question at hand but ... I would recommend trying out Spotify. Keeping your phone as a phone and an app box, and using Spotify as a replacement for iTunes on your PC. Its a service letting you stream any (legal) music you want, for free (in europe) or a small monthly fee…

Nope. Nothing worked there. I have no idea why. Do you have to make your own mipmaps? My LODBias is set to 0, and it still brings the textures down to 1024. It says the streamed texture size is 2048, but Max in-game is 1024. No idea why this is happening. edit: I just noticed in my texture editor that is says that the…
Maya is by far the best suite for rigging. Yes you can get quick rigs from mixamo, but what makes maya the best is the flexibility you get with scrips you can make to your pipeline much more stream lined. I haven't used quick rig yet, but if you do tests with constraints and other tools, you'll soon learn to apply those…
Ah ya i see what you mean they are pretty static, although a handstand may be a little TOO quirky for what i have in mind for this guy. Clumsy or not terrible fast too react may be a better description. How about something like this? -So, the story is he is jumping just out of an explosion over one of those cement…
nah I think he died.. I love they way they killed off jackson too. he was a great character.. In fact I just reinstalled COD4 to play it again on hard.. wow. it rocks.. makes COD5 very mediocre.. Im glad they broke modern warfare away from the COD series.. hopefully they can make it a bit more tactical too. My only gripe…
the only way to fix it, is knowing exactly what tangents... max uses when it generates the normalmap, as that is rendered with the scanline pipeline it makes sense that it also works when applied in the offline renderer... I can confirm eric's quote, max thinks in "polys", while realtime renderers only have vertex streams…
