If you're doing commercial work you should have commercial licenses for the software you are working with. Be sure to look into if there are freelance pricing options available for the software that you are intending to work with.
I'm interested in it. Why? Because they say that they intend to use this announcement to begin recruiting. If Blizzard is recruiting for people to work on a next-gen MMO, I am most certainly interested.
this would be intended for a game in a FP view so a tiled scrolling texture wouldnt be optimal, and i tried path constraining it but it keeps coming up with it being skewe instead of upright
Thanks for the reply. For a static mesh such as a house, would per poly collision have a large effect on the performance? I intend to create a lot of these houses. It worked absolutely fine in CE3.
Really well done! Love the tie-in to Dr. Who :D Edit: The text lights of the top half of the last image... The bloom looks blocky. Not sure if that is intended or an artifact of tiledshot.
yeah. the one thing i would say from experience is watch out for the yellow if you intend to make it gold. gold paint can at times be a pain to get right.
Haven't really had time to work with this due to work =) But intend to finish it before the 27! Update on bake and texture. Worked pretty ok, still need to refine the rest of the book!
Whether it's intended for children or not is irrelevant - it simply isn't a good game. Combat doesn't need to be complicated, nor does crafing. Instead, combat was repetitive and boring, and the crafting system was useless.
I would like to change my username to "LuigiGetsThePrincessAndHasBigBalls", but I'm not too sure how my potential other colleagues might see that, or it's coming on too strong, pun intended.
This is a great tool for the intended workflow- concepting in Cycles at the design phase. Trying out the toolset and included decals as well as the decal knife tools. Very streamlined and relatively intuitive workflow.
