I was thinking how the have the texture browser in hammer which needs an update and an actual shader editor (that works). Merge the two together if you want that would be fine by me.
oops! I thought that was just about the trailer, didn't notice it had gone into gameplay discussion. er, I'll see if I can figure out this thread merge thing
Well, If you have enough disk space : Fraps. That's the best one for this purpose. You can use Satxrip to merge/convert the video after in a compressed format (like mp4).
I think to take it any farther you are going to have to pose it :D I can't think of any ways that you could merge it into a scene as is and make it make sense.
Looking better, here is another overpaint. Please don't take this literally, this is merely one direction you might go from here, although I don't mind at all.
I know that I can, the question is just, is there a possibility then to merge the two UV maps to one? It is not clear for me, if I have to handle everything in a scene in one UV MAP?
UH Alumni Zan Flaker Berce made a great game, go buy it :) http://plockgame.com/ Joe Kreiner, Engine Licensing at Epic Games mentioning Embedded which is cool
I would use cylindrical mapping. Bit of distortion won't hurt anyone, and one merged unwrap will be easier to texture, and will have less seams, which are more ovbious errors.
Had a good time modeling this one for practice, but painting it was a pain in the ass because I lost the paint layer a couple of times, but I think I caused it by merging subtools.
lolno why don't you use a larger texture, and drop that polycount by half. 40k is obscene. also pointless to spend tris on areas that will be so small they will be mere pixels in game.
