Just baked it in Xnormal with a cage and no difference. I'm at a loss as to why it is doing this. On the other hand I set Edge Padding to 4. Which made a significant difference although not perfect, next I will bake it in an exploded form which should solve most of the problems but the edges will probably still be weird…
I'm pretty sure I've decided on the bottom left guy for how the 4-head-tall proportions are feeling. 3 heads just felt a little too cute, and anything past 4 felt a little too human-like. and now that I've gotten proportions out of the way, time to get some clothing on this nekkid goblin!
Maybe just an idea, Orthos are really only useful in the first 10% of modelling when setting up perspective, and after that the 3/4 view is better at describing the forms. So maybe if you do your 3/4 views for form and detail, and do quick orthos for production that could be a time saver for the whole team?
Im not sure if it makes sense that a silencer is painted. They get insane hot i think and the paint would get hard and fall off ? Honestly i have no idea, but it somehow appears wrong. If you use the same rail color as on 5 for the ones on 4, then im all for 4. 1 looks pretty special aswell
I've posted this before, but these plastic overlays work awesome for me: [ame="https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0041FB176/ref=oh_details_o05_s00_i00"]Amazon.com: POSRUS Wacom Intuos 4 Medium Pen Tablet Surface Cover: Computers & Accessories[/ame] I'm on my first nib on both of my Intuous 4's (work and home).
MALicivs: The handles are for people to lift it, so I would say around 4 feet by 4 feet, and pretty damn heavy. ZacD: Maybe so, but I really hate when cylinders have too little sides, really looks like shit and gives away the fact that its low poly, u know?
Thanks for your help. But I am afraid that I still have not been able to solve the problem. I increased the padding from 2 to 4 and tried baking the AO, and then multiplied the AO over my base color at 80%. And here is what I get. This is the multiplied result. Here is the AO result with padding at 4.
An average step in a case of stairs is... Around 18cm.. I think. Then the average size of a garage entrance is... May be 4meters. Decked car parks are typically 3.6meters. All this adds up to your planks being around 1feet wide and probably 4-6 inches thick... Thats like a uber stack of 2 by 4's :P
1-3 all fall into the same category since some of my university projects cover portfolio creation, and character design and modelling. They should all combine nicely to lead rapidly to 4, whilst leaving plenty of time for 5 along the way, and even more when 1-4 have been taken care of.
if you want to cut down the polycount make the toes 4 sided, or make the 4 smaller toes a solid mass instead of them being separated. also i just noticed that aside form the big toe they're all the same size. they should get progressively longer going from the baby toe to the big toe
