In 3DSMax have only a Multi/Sub-Object material applied to the whole thing, and have different IDs set up and assigned to whatever you want. Remember to delete the IDs you don't use because the default Multi/Sub-Object has 15 IDs (I'm not sure, but they might show up).
Just adding some information. New collage graduate in my country usually start their career in studio at around $250 USD a month. So yeah we can definitely live quite a good life with $15 a day, ONLY if we're single with no commitments at all. Possible for a 21-year-old tho.
Again, you need to work on presentation. You have 1:30minute video for essentially 15 seconds of animation (including the looping walk). Putting it in engine is cool, but record them all seperately, front, side, 3/4 view, then piece them together and have them all on screen at the same time.
Take a look at the other topic, I know it's good to make tutorial and all for the masses but there's some easier ways to make what you're doing in this video I speak about in the other topic: http://www.polycount.com/forum/showpost.php?p=1415958&postcount=15 That said I think part1 is all right.
Started doing 3D when I was 13. Started earning money by doing work for small clients / individuals at 15 or 16. Currently almost 19 and I could easily move out and live quite comfortably in my country. Most of the time I don't really know what I'm doing.
I would, but for some reason my laptop's graphics card really doesn't like BF1942. It starts running slowly after 10 minutes, then crashes after 15-20 minutes, pretty much consistently. Not fun. Does the same on Call of Duty, too ... but Warcraft III and UT2k4 are fine... very odd.
Thats the problem with kids these days, expecting a quicksave/quickload feature or a save point every 3 inches.. A savepoint every 10-15 minutes is sufficient, any longer and I'm tempted to stop playing if I die before reaching a savepoint. Playing parts you've played before again isn't fun.
some of my sketches i did over the last couple of days no reference , tablet drawn about 5 mins me girlfriend, about 15 mins again on the tablet tablet, no ref 3-4 mins about 30 mins or so , again tablet , i cant live without it now

Moved to 2D/3D Discussion forum. http://www.cgchat.com/forum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=20424&perpage=15&pagenumber=1 You can change what type of normal map it is (Tangent-space, world space, etc.) in the Options menu of the Projection sub-section of Max7's Render to Texture menu.
