Absolutely brilliant find there. The workshops he mentions on the website sound like they would be a blast. I also would love to see one of the different shows he puts on. Kids must go nuts over this.
Thanks, but I'm afraid I can't take credit for the Lictor design, it's a Tyranid from the Warhammer 40,000 universe by Games Workshop , I use went by a couple of drawings I found ont he net.
There's this weight flood-filling method that's taught in workshops, it's called "inside out": https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xu73Yqgju14 On Maya you're fine, but if you're on Blender you can do this method by using the Normalize Unlocked add-on (link in my signature).
@Pastat7 , this my workshop thread : http://www.polycount.com/forum/showthread.php?t=136687 The concept is in the last reply ( Only showing full details to my modeler to prevent concept stealer ) Moffee could you add me on steam? mx101097 or scylfn
Whoops, I had to repost it to the workshop as I forgot to tweak the wear_remap_max of it, hence making the battle-scarred version of it looks absolutely trash. So now its better. And here is the new link: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=689894930
I was tempted to do some TF2, but I haven't spent any time in the Dota 2 universe. I'm split between Ogre magi and Batrider..plus I would like to get involved with the Dota workshop at some point....so...
Submitted my entry. http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=692388818 Was in the top 3 for a few hours then got hit with a wall of hundreds of no votes from out of nowhere? This is now the lowest rated skin I've ever made for the workshop, lol.
Returning after a break for TI5 and work related issues. Posting some updated and on-going designs - still looking for any interested modeler regarding getting these up and made for workshop. Still open to changes. (In progress - headpiece, full turn-around)
You know, someone already tried this at the very beginning of the workshop...it didn't go too well.... in general i think Valve would have some copyright problems to accept Dota 1 versions of the heroes... besides that it looks well crafted....
