Honestly, it'd be much cheaper just to get some Swapdisks and a flip top lid. That way you don't have to deal with shitty slide cards and you can also backup your collection and use homebrew code.
Hopefully XSI lets you work on a sliding scale. Meaning you can dial up a parameter and the track will get a bit more or less dense. Max and Maya both have it in their spline tools I would shocked if XSI didn't.
Thanks fellas! Mr Flopsie: appreciate the feedback! Here's some minor changes so the fin and the fin's base could slide along when the face guard is lifted open. The fin's base is not welded to the helmet anymore but instead will rest on top.
The problem with a portcullis is that it needs to be raised/lowered from a height at least twice as high as the gate. You could add a pair of tall columns, I suppose, or a gatehouse, but it might be simpler to change to a swinging or sliding design, or even something like a drawbridge.
Quick update, I have the tea house blocked out, the roof is a mesh but the rest besides the sliding doors are BSP brushes I plan on getting rid of soon. My other goal for this scene is to build everything that I can modular.
Allright, I'll def have that photo sourcing thing in mind and be more careful in the future. El trianglo es fixed, had to spin the edge. I also optimized the slide model and rebaked it, from almost 4500 tri's down to 4181.
;) Shift2 is okay, I've played it some more. I still think the physics are ass, but it's fun sometimes. I can't manage to get past that darn Lotus challenge yet. That car just slides around, even with all of the assists turned on =\
If you want to learn more about physically based shading in Unreal Engine 4 you can read the slide and course notes from Brian Karis's 2013 Siggraph talk. They can be found here, with plenty of other interesting documents.
Haha. thats what I was gonna say. It started sliding around when Kochanski came back, and the last few were totally not funny. But I don't think they would ressurect it unless they had some good stuff down on paper.
HUGE fan of the Hitman series from my youth. Are you going to be putting the logo and custom engraving on the slide? I agree you should do the silencer. Possibly even the briefcase that everything came packaged in to make a nice environment render?
