Depth shouldn't be an issue with hard surface stuff. Its easy to convert your photoshop details into a simple height map and then use nDo2 or Knald to convert into a normal overlay. There really aren't any highlights on the diffuse map and because of this the metal isnt reading as metal. It seems that as a whole the diffuse is missing some lighting information and detailing. Each of the building pieces seems like you just grabbed the diffuse and threw it into crazybump. IMO this is not a great idea. You can't have a high poly source for everything obviously, but you should really try to make high polys when reasonable. Looks like some of your props may have been made with a high poly model… -
