Faking it with an additive projected decal would do a lot and would be relatively inexpensive - I believe Counterstrike did this with their flashlight (didn't they?). -

Broken walls
Hello everyone, Any ideas how to properly create those? Destroyed walls? I was thinking of using decal, like on one of the tutorials here, but this looks much more complex with it's own geometry. -

You can create decals in ps or designer, then import them into painter. The workflow is not great, not terrible.
